The River Eamont – Lakeland Tributary of the Eden
The River Eamont is the main outflow from Ullswater, the Lake District\’s second largest lake. It is also a tributary of the River Eden which it joins just a little to the east of Penrith, and so is included here with the Eden Valley. By Brougham Castle, a mile or so before the Eamont flows into the Eden, it is joined by the River Lowther which flows down from Haweswater.
